Martin is asleep in Jesus now.  Thank you all for your prayers and love.  In lieu of phone calls and visits today, please post messages here.

Arrangements will be announced here as soon as they are available.

I wish to extend support and condolences to Martin's family from his McKee family. It has been an honor and a privilege to be Martin's friend and co-worker for many years. He will be greatly missed.

Bye Martin I will miss you so much. I have many fond memories of you from our childhood days, and sometimes wish we could have stayed youngsters. I hope to see you soon in heaven and I pray for your family and mine in our time of grief.

I got to know Martin when we worked together during Camp Meeting. His willingness to take off work each year to assist with P/A responsibilities was always appreciated, and although I hadn't seen him in a while, I will miss that big smile he always had.

Our prayers are with the family during this very difficult time, and hope that it helps to know he is no longer in pain, and resting peacefully until Jesus comes to call him home.

Martin, you are remembered as a true servant leader and a wonderful example of God's love. You will be missed--for a while.

My memories of you involve all the work you did to make programs go smoothly at Hamilton Community Church.

My prayers are for all of us who love you and yet must continue a while longer without you.

I want assure Margarita and the entire family that the Collegedale Church is holding them up in prayer. I still can't believe Martin has gone to sleep! I will miss his fun laugh and his willing spirit. He was always there for our PA needs and willing to do whatever it took to get it done. I still see him running the board and singing along with whatever song the singer/s on stage were singing! He is missed!

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (New International Version, emphasis added)

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. We can't wait to see You, Uncle Martin and Grandpa.

April (also known to Uncle Martin as Slobette, Jr)

We have heavy hearts as Martin fell asleep in the care of his saviour Jesus Christ. While we weep for ourselves, for we shall miss him dearly, we rejoice that Martin can now say as did Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." May we never forget that "We have this hope that burns within our hearts. Hope in the coming of The Lord!"

I know the pain you all feel is tremendous and no words can lessen it but please know that you are all thought of in the most loving way and even strangers are lifting you up in prayer.
